WAC conducted a   panel hearing accountability session on 7/12/2017 entitled (Providing the human services from a gender perspective) under the advocacy campaign entitled “Advocating for gender responsive humanitarian assistance post crisis in the Gaza Strip” supported under UN Women and funded by AECID. It targeted women and girls, men and boys’ community leaders, state and non-state humanitarian service providers, INGOs and UN agencies as they recommended the following: improving women status through involving them in human services, providing small income-generating projects for poor families, providing the needed aid for people with disability, Providing developmental projects that serve women and men, integrating human services into planning process for projects especially during and post crises,  and Establishing a unified database for human services’ beneficiaries.

The session tackled the important programs that Ministry of social development, Islamic Relief Association working on and the coming project in 2018 in addition to necessity   to integrate gender in such project  .

Wissam Jouda, Advocacy program coordinator, pointed out ” this session comes under many activities implemented within this campaign which aim basically to know the experiences of both organizations governmental and national one to determine the level of integrating gender in the provided human services, spot light on the significant gaps between both gender, the vision in achieve programs and projects considering the humanitarian principles and providing justice and fair opportunities based on gender.”
