Gaza- July 2017- WAC conducted 3 days training entitled  “GBV, how detect, treat and refer GBV cases”, 15- training –hours for 15 workers and trainers in Rafah MoSA community center .this activity came within “Preventing and Responding to Increased GBV Vulnerability among IDP Women and Girls” project funded by UNFPA.

” the training aimed to empower the workers and trainers in Rafah MoSA community center on concepts related to GBV, how detect, treat and refer GBV cases as well as enhancing their capacities on the available responses for GBV in Gaza strip ” Hanaa Al Zant, project coordinator ,said.

The training was on gender, explaining the concepts of roles and tasks and how to distinguish them,  GBV , how detect, treat, follow and refer GBV cases, the important provided services in Gaza Strip and the available referral system.

As it is the first time to target workers and trainers in Rafah MoSA community center and using practical exercises to apply all terms and concepts obtained through the training , the participants pointed out the importance of working on referral system and  spreading it to the service providers . the workers recommended holding more training on how treat the violence survivals targeting all community centers in all Gaza governorates, providing advanced training on referral system , manage and refer cases  in addition to conducting awareness sessions for the workers in community centers  on guideline principals to deal with the violence survivals.
