Gaza-2014- WAC conducted two days of training about “the pressure and advocacy skills in women right in heritage”, the training were 12 training hours. 25 of representatives of CBOs in Gaza Strip participated. It’s funded by European Union through the Danish Church Aid partnering with women’s center and YMCA for socially and legal counselling in West Bank.

The main topics in the training were: definition of pressure, advocacy, and the basic components the used methods in pressure and advocacy campaign, and managing and planning the campaign.

Reem Nairab (projects coordinator) said that these trainings aimed to empowering 25 trainees on having the basic skills in pressure and advocacy on women issues especially in heritage.

The trainees recommend on understanding in depth of women issues from gender prospective and how formulating the advocacy messages, and they need trainings in analyzing the advocacy issue and how determining the decision makers whom they need.
